I'm not defined by faith.
My motivations stem from my mistakes and restless love.
I'll struggle with that weight, and cleanse myself because I can't relate with preaching sons.
I'm apathetic when singing love songs 'cause imitation won't bring us peace. We're alienated from our dreams.
Bound to this ending, I'm changing what my story's about.
With every cadence medicated by doubt.
Yet my redemption isn't making a sound, any sound.
I used to lie awake. The radio consoled me as it played, so I sang along.
With that curious congregation, bound by our false consolation. Were we wrong to think we'd find ourselves within a song?
